Biographie
Toni Braxton est une chanteuse née le 7 octobre 1967 à Servern, dans le Maryland. Enfant, elle se passionne pour la musique et chante dans les chorales des églises. Elle créé ensuite avec ses sœurs un groupe appelé « The Braxtons ». Elle se fait rapidement remarquer par les producteurs Kenneth Edmonds et Antonio Reid. Dès lors, le label LaFace Records lui fait signer un contrat. Elle enregistre alors son premier album, qui récolte un énorme succès, devenant neuf fois disque de platine et lui vaut trois Grammy Awards. C’est ainsi qu’elle se fait connaître du grand public. Après de gros problèmes financiers, elle décide de repartir à zéro et chante dans la comédie musicale « La Belle et la Bête ». Puis, elle sort un autre album intitulé « The Heat » qui parvient une nouvelle fois à séduire le public.
